We are building awareness to return to earth-saving farming practices, in the fundamental long-term and systemic change to the agrifood sector. The work began in 2013, with the awareness that our own multi-generational family farm had veered far off course from our founding roots in 1855. So we enter the future discussion and planning with the belief and conviction that steward ownership and the purpose economy can help us heal our damaged planet. Now, 10 years later, we see regenerative agriculture, and wide spread adoption of perennial grains fields, as a necessary part of our message to raise awareness for large scale planting of continuous living crops. Covering fields all year with dense biomass and deep roots regenerates soil at very high levels. "Roots in the ground, year round" is also a key element in protecting our vital waterways and water supplies. With carbon capture elevated to a driving force for planet healing, the emerging science and discovery of new strains of perennial grains gives great hope for Minnesota and Wisconsin's vital environmental leadership.
